Eye Colors for Spring
Posted on May 16th, 2011 No commentsIf you’re a rookie when it comes to colorful eye makeup, remember that choosing a contrasting shadow can really make your eyes pop.
For example, since orange and blue are complementary colors, coral shades will really bring out your baby blues. The same goes for purple hues if you have green eyes, or blue shades if you have brown eyes.
Green is the color of spring – not just in gardens, but on eye lids this season. Green eye shadow is to eyes what coral gloss is to lips. )
And another bonus? It looks amazing on brown eyes.
We are adding more amazing mineral eyeshadows hopefully within a month or so. Keep checking back with us at Nature’s Genesis

One Key for Beautiful Younger Looking Skin
Posted on January 4th, 2011 No commentsWho doesn’t desire younger looking skin? Exfoliating is a major key in our endeavor for beautiful skin. Why do we need to exfoliate our skin? We are removing our makeup thoroughly and we are using cleansers everyday to remove the dirt from our faces, aren’t those good enough? Sadly the answer is NO!
Due to metabolism, we have around 4% of dead skin built up on our face everyday. The skin cell regeneration cycle is from 21 days to 28 days. As we age, our skin tends to slow down the exfoliation process this is why we need to manually remove the build up of dead skin off our face. If we have too much dead skin left on the surface of our skin, it will slow down the regeneration cycle and our skin will be dull and without that healthy radiance.
What’s worse is, if we ignore the dead skin, it will eventually clog our pores leading to the formation of whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. Ultimately, exfoliation will reduce dullness and the appearance of wrinkles by breaking up and removing dead skin cell revealing new softer, clearer and glowing skin. It also helps in boosting the blood circulation. As you can see, exfoliation is a vital component for beautiful skin.
Even though exfoliation does our skin good, if it is used to often it can damage our skin. It is suggested to exfoliate once or twice a week, maybe more. Again, this is where we need to know our skin. I’m finding out I only need to use it 2x a week at this point. After exfoliating, your skin will be brightened up and smoothened out, but you will also feel that the skin is lighter and cleaner.
Follow with our Facial Oil, Serums or one of our great nourishing moisturizers. You will definitely notice a better absorption of our other all natural skin care products. Wouldn’t you want those products to get “fed” into the skin and work the wonders for you instead of just “sitting” on top of your skin together with the dead skin? Exfoliation is a must!
Our exfoliator is a non-abrasive anti-aging scrub which will leave your skin notably softer, smoother and brighter. Jojoba Bead Wax will gently remove the build up of dead skin cells. Results are beautiful younger looking skin. Ideal for all skin types

Interesting Facts About our Skin
Posted on December 4th, 2010 No commentsA few interesting facts I couldn’t help but post this. Our bodies are amazing!
A closer look at your body’s resilient armor.
The next time you use the expression “I know it like the back of my hand,” consider this – One square inch of your skin is home to:
• 65 hairs
• 100 sebaceous glands
• 78 yards of nerves
• 650 sweat glands
• 19 yards of blood vessels
• 9,500,000 cells
• 1,300 nerve endings
• 20,000 sensory cellsjust to name… um… a few. Our body’s largest organ makes up about 15% of our total weight and covers 20 square feet. Paper-thin and incredibly complex, your skin protects you from the perils of your environment and allows you to feel pain and pleasure. It’s working to renew itself every second of every day. So how well do you really know the back of your hand — or for that matter, any square inch of your skin?

The Eye’s Have it!
Posted on November 4th, 2010 No commentsThe fact is, eye wrinkles are a part of the aging process. Some ladies seem to be able to accept this gracefully, while others like myself are fighting against them tooth and nail. Thankfully, anti-oxidants pack a powerful bunch in our fight against aging. The more antioxidants in our arsenal the better.
Here are some antioxidants that are vital if we desire a firmer eye area.
Green tea extracts preform double duty not only as free-radical fighters, but also as a sunblock, reducing sunburn and DNA damage.
Green tea with CoQ10 is even better in an eye cream. These two plant based antioxidants are gentle, but yet very effective.
When it comes to topical antioxidants, the power of one doesn’t apply. Creams containing multiple antioxidants have increased potency. Even ingesting antioxidants can multiply our chances of seeing wrinkles diminish, so load up internally and externally for an one two punch in our ongoing battle with aging.

Fight against Premature Aging!
Posted on October 27th, 2010 No commentsGood Morning,
Here is a short little article on antiaging serums and oils
Many antiaging creams are filled with synthetics linked to brain, reproductive, and developmental problems. Look for formulas with fatty acid-rich oils like tamanu, and argon, which help protect against premature wrinkling and aging.
Personally I never leave home without an organic facial oil of some kind. Remember Dr. Oz totes Tamanu oil as a “miracle” oil. This oil is wonderful especially during the winter months, or whenever your eyes appear dry, think fine lines, crows feet etc……This really does help. Tamanu does sting the eyes quite a bit, so you do need to be careful. Also, the smell is a little nasty, but……..it is worth it for the effect of this oil on wrinkles.

Until next time,
