The Best All Natural Moisturizers
Posted on January 29th, 2012 No commentsWe thought we would share a testimony of one of our customers. It always fun to hear what others are saying about the products and also introduce a new amazing moisturizer we are carrying. This stuff rocks! Here are the ingredients:
All Amazing: All Pure: All Natural:
Aloe Vera 30% smoothes and softens skin. Helps to lock in moisture, reduce age spots and aid in cell regeneration. Has little beneficial effect however, unless added in significant amounts. For this reason, aloe vera ranks first in volume among our ingredients. Emu oil: (18%) Other products made with emu oil actually carry just 1-10% of this amazing ingredient. It's very similar to human skin oil and hypoallergenic. Emu oil carries the other nutrients deep into the skin where they're most useful. Rich in vitamins A, E and essential fatty acids. Matrixyl 3000: (10%) Powerful combination of two peptides. Stimulates collagen and provides significant reduction in wrinkle depth and volume. Dermaxyl: (10%) Bio-active lipid agent (ceramide 2) which increases the water holding capacity of skin . Keeps skin moist and plump. Shea butter: Evens out skin tone and improves elasticity. Good source of vitamins A, E and F. Green tea extract: Has 20 times the anti-oxidant effect of vitamin E and well-documented benefits of sun protection. Jojoba oil: Helps to balance skin's natural oil production and prevent breakouts. Contains copper, zinc and complex vitamins. Virgin coconut oil: Helps to repair skin damage and strengthen tissue. Castor oil: Reduces age spots, contains ricinoleic acid which inhibits many viruses and bacteria (great for acne). Increases circulation.
A Wonderful, moisturizing product. You will love this stuff.

I am sold on a moisturizer that delivers moisture to the facethat doesn't feel dry and tight an hour after you apply it
even in the driest of cold Minnesota winters. Also, natural
products that have ingredients that are derived from plants,
herbs etc...not man-made I re-order simply because of the
fact that I haven't found anything else out there that
compares to that level of moisturizing I'vefound in these products________________________________________________________________

How to Care for Winter Skin
Posted on October 18th, 2011 No commentsHI Ladies,
Here is a good article on how to care for your skin during those cold winter months.
Winter is among us or soon approaching. Even though around the country the climates vary, the problems our skin experiences are similar. In the winter your skin deals with a lot of harsh environments, strong winds, cold air, indoor heaters, rain, snow, sleet and an overall lack of a good healthy dose of sunlight. We are left with dry skin that can become chapped and cracked. But have no fear the cures to your skin’s winter ailments are simple. Your skin’s goals this winter should be to moisturize, exfoliate and moisturize again. Keep moisture in mind with all the choices you make in your skin care regime. Your skin functions differently in the winters so you need to change your routines.
Cleanse:
Winter is the time of year when you need to put away your foaming and soap cleansers and stock up on crème cleansers. Cleansing crèmes, lotions, milks and oils are very effective cleansers and they do not contain the typical surfactant or detergent ingredients that most cleansing gels contain which can be too harsh on your skin in the winter months.Tone:
Put away your astringents and switch to a toner for winter. Your skin needs to be soothed and balanced and not dried out further by an astringent.Moisturize:
Choose heavier crèmes in the winter than you would in the summer months. Feel free to use your heavy eye crème around your lips and entire face. If your skin is itching it is because the dry air of winter is causing the moisture in the top layer of your skin to evaporate quickly. You will need to slather those areas with extra moisture until you feel relief. Never be afraid of using pure oils on your skin in the winter months.Exfoliate:
Exfoliate twice per week to remove dead skin cells and allow your skin to absorb the extra moisture you are lathering on. The central heating plays havoc on the sebum our skin normally produces, which makes our skin lose water which should be retained in the lower dermis of the skin. Have you ever wondered about the areas of your skin that looks like your skin is flaking off your body? What happens is that during the winter months there are thousands of dry skin cells ready to be sloughed off the surface and they become clumped together with oil which forms what appear to be flakes. Don’t be flaky, exfoliate! Exfoliate your skin with crème based exfoliates with jojoba beads and your body will soak up the rich oils of a butter or oil based body scrub.Kayla Fioravanti, R.A., von Natur

A New Supplement for Beautiful Skin
Posted on June 30th, 2011 No commentsHI Ladies,
I thought you would enjoy this little scientific find for beautiful skin.
An interesting article by Dr. Mercola on improving your skin, your health and your over all well being.
When it comes to free radical scavenging, astaxanthin can be as much as…
65 times more powerful than vitamin C*
54 times stronger than beta-carotene*
14 times more potent than vitamin E*Plus, astaxanthin has been shown to be more effective than other carotenoids and other nutrients at ‘singlet oxygen quenching’ by being up to…
550 times more powerful than vitamin E*
800 times stronger than CoQ10*
6000 times greater than vitamin C*
550 times more powerful than green tea catechins*
11 times stronger than beta-carotene*The above comparisons have been made against some incredible nutrients in their own right. Yet, astaxanthin blows them away when it comes down to effective free radical scavenging and singlet oxygen quenching.*
And here’s even more on how astaxanthin is potentially so effective…
Able to cross the blood-brain barrier and the blood-retinal barrier (beta-carotene and some others don’t do this)…*
Protects your eyes, brain, and nervous system from oxidative stress*
Potentially reduces DNA damage caused by free radicals*Any questions why I’m simply amazed at the healthful power of this super-antioxidant?* To date, I’ve never seen anything like it.
So, all you have to do is run out to your local health store or vitamin shop to pick up this extraordinary nutrient.
I’ve already reviewed above some of the potential pitfalls with some of the sources of astaxanthin.
Here’s a simple list of factors that I recommend you consider when finding a natural supplement formula…
Make sure the astaxanthin formula is created from natural marine microalgae and not some form of fungus, or some other less effective form.
Due to the fact astaxanthin is best absorbed when taken with a ‘fatty’ meal (lipid soluble), look for a formula that contains some sort of natural oil or fatty acid that will help maximize your absorption. Without this additional ingredient, your absorption could be less than optimal.
Don’t just settle for what’s necessarily on the label of the bottle. Dig deeper into finding out more info on how the manufacturer guarantees stability and efficacy of the formula.
In addition, make sure the manufacturer can provide solid evidence they don’t use chemical solvents or preservatives in their formulation processes.
Due to new research, most recommendations for daily dosages of natural astaxanthin can now range from 4-8mg. So, look for at least a 4mg minimum serving size so you won’t have to take as many capsuleshttp://articles.mercola.com/sites/current.aspx

Beauty Gadgets and Skin Care Updates
Posted on August 19th, 2010 No commentsHI Ladies,
It has been over a month since our last newsletter. We wanted to wait until our website was completed before we posted another letter. Sorry! It’s not finished yet, but it sure looks a lot nicer. We are hoping in the next month to be totally done!!!
We have added quite a few new products. If you click on antiwrinkle beauty tools you’ll find the little tool called the Dermaroller. (We were telling you about in our last newsletter) It’s quite the amazing beauty gadget and cost a fraction of the price of going into the spa for basically the same treatment. There is a lot of information regarding the benefits of using the Dermaroller. Check it out on our website! My mom used it only a few times and could tell a difference in her eye area. Definitely helped to firm and tone!
Right now we are in negotiations with a few skincare companies regarding their beauty products. Hopefully in the next few weeks we’ll have something concrete to show you.
This was just a quick little update. Keep checking the website for new skincare and beauty products.

Testimonies
If you could purify rainwater, put it into lotion form, and bottle it, it would resemble Herbal Infused Cream Therapy. Pure moisturizer! Awesome product! I have tried countless moisturizers over the years for my face and the results are always the same: a tight, dry feeling just hours after applying. The bottom line is, you cant fool your skin. It knows the difference between man-made chemicals and synthetics and all natural herbs and vitamins that absorb, penetrate and nourish your skin. I’ve been using Herbal Infused Cream Therapy for 10 months, (I still have a third of the jar left, for someone who’s pretty tight with money, that means a lot.) This is the first product I’ve used this long and been more than throughly satisfied! No more tight, dry face! Do something nice for your face- something completely natural. Your skin will thank you now and years later!

Tracy

New Eye Product Coming Soon!
Posted on December 17th, 2009 No commentsHI Ladies,
Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve been reviewing an amazing eye product. The reviews on this product have been quite amazing from other sources, but we’re still in the process of testing this out for ourselves. This eye product tightens, firms, corrects, etc…….I believe it will also last close to a year, so price wise you can’t beat it.
We here at Nature’s Genesis plan on testing the product for a month at least. We’ll let you know at that time if we will carry it or not. I’m really hoping it will work. I have my figures crossed:) So far so good!
We also have some other exciting things in the works. You ladies will love them. I’m completely sold on these wrinkle reducing finds. Wow, is all I can say. I can’t let the cat out of the bag yet, sorry!
In another month I’m hoping to have these on our website.
This has been short, but sweet.
Have a Merry Christmas,
Tracy

All Natural Exfoliant – Reveals Beautiful Skin!
Posted on November 24th, 2009 No commentsWho doesn’t desire younger looking skin? Exfoliating is a major key in our endeavor for beautiful skin. Why do we need to exfoliate our skin? We are removing our makeup thoroughly and we are using cleansers everyday to remove the dirt from our faces, aren’t those good enough? Sadly the answer is NO!
Due to metabolism, we have around 4% of dead skin built up on our skin everyday. The skin cell regeneration cycle is from 21 days to 28 days. As we age, our skin tends to slow down the exfoliation process this is why we need to manually remove the build up of dead skin off our face. If we have too much dead skin left stuck on the surface of our skin, it will slow down the regeneration cycle and our skin will be dull and without that healthy radiance. What’s worse is, if we ignore the dead skin, it will eventually clog our pores leading to the formation of whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. Ultimately, exfoliation will reduce dullness and the appearance of wrinkles by breaking up and removing dead skin cell revealing new softer, clearer and glowing skin. It also helps in boosting the blood circulation. As you can see, exfoliation is a vital component for beautiful skin.
Even though exfoliation does our skin good, if it is used to often it can damage our skin. It is suggested to exfoliate once or twice a week, maybe more, or maybe less. Again, this is where we need to know our skin. I’m finding out I only need to use it once a week at this point. After exfoliating, your skin will be brightened up and smoothened out, but you will also feel that the skin is lighter and cleaner.
Follow with our Facial Oil, Serums or one of our great nourishing moisturizers. You will definitely notice a better absorption of our other all natural skin care products. Wouldn’t you want those products to get “fed” into the skin and work the wonders for you instead of just “sitting” on top of your skin together with the dead skin? Exfoliation is a must!
Our exfoliator at Nature’s Genesis is a non-abrasive anti-aging scrub which will leave your skin notably softer, smoother and brighter. Jojoba Bead Wax will gently remove the build up of dead skin cells. Results are beautiful younger looking skin. Ideal for all skin types
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,
Tracy

What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You!
Posted on September 28th, 2009 No commentsDo you know what your putting on your skin? Do you know what is in your skin care products? Keep reading and you’ll find out!
This is going to carry a little different tone than our other newsletters. This was so amazing, I thought I really needed to share it with you. You will be amazed, and probably a little sickened to your stomach, if you have a weak stomach you might not want to read this article.
We, our family, went on a little mini-vacation before the onslaught of school activities began. As most people do after a long day of site seeing, we turned on the TV to relax and unwind before we crashed for the night. Well, the fellas in our family enjoy the show “Dirty Jobs.” Guess what the show was about. An Animal Rendering Plant. It was appalling. After you hear this, you will never want to use anything on your face or body that is not organic. This article is going to be a brief summary of the TV show – “Dirty Jobs.” Bottom line is: What you don’t know can hurt you!

More Great Benefits of Using Facial Oils!
Posted on July 27th, 2009 No commentsA person needs to be careful that you don’t use to much oil. My theory has always been, more must be better. Wrong. We can use to much oil and cause our skin to become drier. I know it’s crazy, but it’s true. I’ve experienced it. I would slather the oil on morning, noon, and night and my face started looking worse. Pores started looking larger, texture not so refined etc…So please be careful. Honestly, you will begin to know your face better then the so called “professionals.”
Also, it good to switch oils once and a while. We’ll be offering some more facial oils on our site because I just love oils and I’ve experienced the wonders of using them.
Even when you apply it around your eyes, go light. If you apply to much or not enough you’ll be able to tell.
I also exfoliate twice a week in the summer season this helps with the oil, serum, and moisturizer penetration. We’ll talk more about that at a different time. I wanted to make sure I got it in here, so you would get the full benefit of the facial oils.
It’s also important to use nothing on your face at least one or two nights a week. You will see a difference by just changing this one little thing. You could actually do this more and reap the benefits. Again, you be the judge of your skin. No one knows it better then you.
Also, it takes quite a while to use up this bottle of oil, so it would be good to keep it in the fridge.
Store the oils in a cool, dark place out of the sun.
Until next time,
Tracy

Gentle Face Cleanser to the Rescue!
Posted on July 15th, 2009 No commentsAs you can see I’m totally thrilled with our Organic Cleansing Oil.
Personally, I use my oils at night to cleanse my face. Trust me, I’ve tried all kinds of “gentle” cleansing creams, gels, foams etc….nothing delivered how it was supposed to. Just this one change of cleansing my face with oil brought a dramatic difference. Our company sells a few more cleansers that I only use once a week, or maybe once every two weeks. Others use them daily. Get to know your skin and what your skin is craving. Just like your body craves certain foods, your face craves certain nutrients. In time, you’ll be able to judge quite accurately what you need to do for your skin for that day.
Back to the oil! I also apply this oil around my eyes either over or under the creams. I realized I needed both the eye creams and the oils. Another secret, I use glycerin over my oils. This is very cheap. You need just a tiny amount, otherwise you’ll feel sticky. Sometimes I apply the oil under my serums or moisturizer. It all depends on how your face is looking. Again, get to know your skin. Honestly, it won’t be long until you’ll know exactly what it needs. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
Please be kind if it doesn’t work for you. As I stated before, things don’t work for everybody. All I can say is what works for me and the different testimonials of others who have tried this way of cleansing. I really could go on and on regarding this one thing, I love it that much, but I’ll let this be until next week.
Until next time,
Tracy
