  • The Best All Natural Moisturizers

Posted on January 29th, 2012 tracy No comments

    HI Ladies,

We thought we would share a  testimony of one of our customers. It always fun to hear what others are saying about the products and also introduce a new amazing moisturizer we are carrying.  This stuff rocks! Here are the ingredients:

All Amazing: All Pure: All Natural:

Aloe Vera 30% smoothes and softens skin. Helps to lock in moisture,
reduce age spots and aid in cell regeneration. Has little beneficial
effect however, unless added in significant amounts. For this reason,
aloe vera ranks first in volume among our ingredients.

Emu oil: (18%) Other products made with emu oil actually carry just
1-10% of this amazing ingredient. It's very similar to human skin oil
and hypoallergenic. Emu oil carries the other nutrients deep into the
skin where they're most useful. Rich in vitamins A, E and essential
    fatty acids.

Matrixyl 3000: (10%) Powerful combination of two peptides. Stimulates
collagen and provides significant reduction in wrinkle depth and volume.

Dermaxyl: (10%) Bio-active lipid agent (ceramide 2) which increases the
water holding capacity of skin . Keeps skin moist and plump.

Shea butter: Evens out skin tone and improves elasticity. Good source
    of vitamins A, E and F.

Green tea extract: Has 20 times the anti-oxidant effect of vitamin E
and well-documented benefits of sun protection.

Jojoba oil: Helps to balance skin's natural oil production and prevent
breakouts. Contains copper, zinc and complex vitamins.

Virgin coconut oil: Helps to repair skin damage and strengthen tissue.

Castor oil: Reduces age spots, contains ricinoleic acid which inhibits
many viruses and bacteria (great for acne). Increases circulation.
A Wonderful, moisturizing product. You will love this stuff.
    ________________________________________________________________
I am sold on a moisturizer that delivers moisture to the face
that doesn't feel dry and tight an hour after you apply it
even in the driest of cold Minnesota winters. Also, natural
products that have ingredients that are derived from plants,
     herbs etc...not man-made I re-order simply because of the
fact that I haven't found anything else out there that
compares to that level of moisturizing I've
    found in these products

  • Tricks to Looking Younger

Posted on December 13th, 2011 tracy No comments

Curling eyelashes makes you look younger, causes your eyes to pop, and look more alert.

We just finished a photo shoot and most everyone needed their eyelashes curled. The difference was amazing. Just the simple act of curling your lashes will draw your eyelashes
upward. They will appear longer and your eyes will look more open. These two effects result in a younger looking you! As we age, our features begin to lose that freshness; eyes tend
to droop a bit more and lashes are less then luscious. Using the right makeup to your advantage, and knowing the right tools to use can help fool the eye and cheat some years off
your face. In just a few seconds your eyes can go from dull to lively with just the squeeze of a lash curler.

    Technique

Always curl lashes before primer and mascara are applied; otherwise you take a risk of breaking off your eyelashes.

For maximum effect you want to get as close to the base as possible without pinching your skin.Clasp down lightly at first to make sure you are where you need to be with the curler. Then firmly hold for a full five seconds. Your goal is to create a beautiful curve, not an L shape kink, so you will need to experiment with the lash curler to achieve optimum results. Be sure to release the eyelashes fully before pulling it away from your eye.

It’s important to clean the curler every so often so bacteria is not collecting on it day after day and going into your eye. Just a cotton swab with a bit of witch hazel will do the trick, or a quick rinse in soapy water. Make sure to leave it out to dry in an open position so you don’t get it rusted.

  • The Importance of Makeup

Posted on October 13th, 2011 tracy No comments

    HI Ladies,

I thought this was an interesting article, and thought you might enjoy it.

Women who wear makeup are perceived as more attractive and competent than those who do not, according to a recently released study headed by Harvard Medical School Assistant Professor Nancy L. Etcoff.

The study, titled “Cosmetics as a Feature of the Extended Human Phenotype: Modulation of the Perception of Biologically Important Facial Signals,” asked participants to judge a variety of women’s photographs based on a number of characteristics including attractiveness, competence, likeability, and trustworthiness.

Researchers were particularly interested to see how makeup affected judgments both automatically and after longer deliberation, they said.

“I’m interested in bringing science to the study of adornment,” said Etcoff, a psychology professor who has studied this topic for over 20 years. “The study aimed to address exactly what we look at when we judge a person, and what these tools do.”

The study, which involved researchers from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Procter & Gamble Cosmetics, Boston University, and HMS, was first released in the online publication PLoS ONE on Monday.

In the study, two groups, each with over one hundred participants, were asked to rate photographs of female faces with varying levels of “color cosmetics” applied by a professional makeup artist. Participants in the first group only saw the photographs for 250 milliseconds, while those in the second group had an unlimited amount of time to examine them.

Judging a number of qualities, participants then used a sliding scale to input their ratings directly into a computer. The responses were sent to a statistician at Dana-Farber.

Findings revealed that cosmetics have a significant and automatic effect on judgments of attractiveness. Even more importantly, makeup provides additional facial stimuli that influence more long-term, deliberative judgments on social factors such as trustworthiness.

Sarah A. Vickery, co-researcher for the study and principal scientist at Procter & Gamble Beauty and Grooming, summarized these findings in an interview with CBS News.

“This means that makeup really can be seen as a tool in a woman’s arsenal that allows her to actually control the way the world sees her,” she said in the interview.

But despite the physically-oriented implications of these findings, the study also revealed that positive perception decreases as women apply heavier makeup. To this end, Etcoff emphasized that in no way should the study imply that women need to use cosmetics or abide by social convention.

“People don’t want to judge a book by its cover, and yet they still do,” she said. “But what matters is how we perceive ourselves. Women can still be confident and competent without makeup.”

  • How to Apply Concealer

Posted on September 30th, 2011 tracy No comments

    HI Ladies,

    All Natural Mineral Concealer

    All Natural Mineral Concealer

For those looking for the perfect concealer to cover those annoying problem areas, such as the dark circles under the eye, keep reading for a great tip!

Using the proper color of concealer and having the right placement is vital to achieving the right look, and hopefully do away with those dark spots. Women with caucasian coloring need a concealer that is no more than one shade lighter than the rest of their face. It should also have a hue of either salmon, melon, and/or pink to counteract the dark circles, which most of us have on those oh so tired days.

Interestingly, most ladies get the placement of concealer totally wrong. More times than not, concealer is not needed on the outer third of the eye. When concealer is applied there it will only enhance the crow’s feet which most of us do not want highlighted! Only apply concealer wherever there is darkness.

Here is the best rule of thumb. Think of the shape of a comma. Apply from the inner corner of the eye and extend the concealer to where you can feel your ocular bone. If you follow this tip, you will have the perfect look!

    Tips for Summer Skin Care

Lighten up your skincare routine! Since summer has finally arrived in Minnesota and the hummidity, I’ve needed to tone down my facial routine. As we all know, when the weather warms our skin naturally begins to produce oils more regularly. Maintaining the perfect dewy look without looking greasy can be a balancing act, but it can be acheived. For more mature skin this routine works great.

    Cleanse-Oil Cleansing Method (night)
Tone- We offer the perfect toners that will not dry your skin, but will hydrate
Moisturizer-Reparative Serum or Herbal Infused Cream Therapy
Oils- 2-3x per week, we offer a vast array that will do wonders for your skin

Again, it is of utmost importance to switch up your routine. You need to trick your skin and switching up your products will do just that.

  • Fight against Premature Aging!

Posted on October 27th, 2010 tracy No comments

    Good Morning,

Here is a short little article on antiaging serums and oils

Many antiaging creams are filled with synthetics linked to brain, reproductive, and developmental problems. Look for formulas with fatty acid-rich oils like tamanu, and argon, which help protect against premature wrinkling and aging.

Personally I never leave home without an organic facial oil of some kind. Remember Dr. Oz totes Tamanu oil as a “miracle” oil. This oil is wonderful especially during the winter months, or whenever your eyes appear dry, think fine lines, crows feet etc……This really does help. Tamanu does sting the eyes quite a bit, so you do need to be careful. Also, the smell is a little nasty, but……..it is worth it for the effect of this oil on wrinkles.

  • Skin in your 50s!

Posted on October 22nd, 2010 tracy No comments

    Skin in your 50s

By this decade the changes seen in the 40s are more pronounced. As estrogen levels drop, the skin’s natural oil production decreases. The result is even drier skin. The skin also gets more fragile, therefore it is injured easily and is slow to heal. There is also increased loss of elasticity, especially around the eyes. The skin around the neck may also start to droop.

    The result:

    * Skin looks dry and lackluster
    * Skin is more sensitive to aggressive anti-aging products
    * Expression lines and wrinkles are deeper
    * Eyelids begin to wrinkle
    * Neck starts to droop

An Antiaging Serum is a must in your fight against aging. Check the ingredients. Make sure the ingredients support the claims they are making. Alpha Lipoic Acid and MSM are a sure fire way to rev up and firm your skin.

Most of us have heard of Dr. Perricone’s research on Alpha Lipoic Acid. Couple the ALA with the MSM, which is a proven collagen builder, and you have a win, win solution for your skin.

We will have more next week.

    Enjoy your day,

  • Beauty Gadgets and Skin Care Updates

Posted on August 19th, 2010 tracy No comments

    HI Ladies,

It has been over a month since our last newsletter. We wanted to wait until our website was completed before we posted another letter. Sorry! It’s not finished yet, but it sure looks a lot nicer. We are hoping in the next month to be totally done!!!

We have added quite a few new products. If you click on antiwrinkle beauty tools you’ll find the little tool called the Dermaroller. (We were telling you about in our last newsletter) It’s quite the amazing beauty gadget and cost a fraction of the price of going into the spa for basically the same treatment. There is a lot of information regarding the benefits of using the Dermaroller. Check it out on our website! My mom used it only a few times and could tell a difference in her eye area. Definitely helped to firm and tone!

Right now we are in negotiations with a few skincare companies regarding their beauty products. Hopefully in the next few weeks we’ll have something concrete to show you.

This was just a quick little update. Keep checking the website for new skincare and beauty products.

    Testimonies
If you could purify rainwater, put it into lotion form, and bottle it, it would resemble Herbal Infused Cream Therapy. Pure moisturizer! Awesome product! I have tried countless moisturizers over the years for my face and the results are always the same: a tight, dry feeling just hours after applying. The bottom line is, you cant fool your skin. It knows the difference between man-made chemicals and synthetics and all natural herbs and vitamins that absorb, penetrate and nourish your skin. I’ve been using Herbal Infused Cream Therapy for 10 months, (I still have a third of the jar left, for someone who’s pretty tight with money, that means a lot.) This is the first product I’ve used this long and been more than throughly satisfied! No more tight, dry face! Do something nice for your face- something completely natural. Your skin will thank you now and years later!
